  • Introduction

The B3 GT3 was launched in December 2011 at the Tokyo Motorshow to celebrate the 2011 ADAC GT Masters championship with the Alpina B6 GT3 racecar. This model is based on the Coupe version of the B3 S BiTurbo, complimented with a wide variety of racing-inspired parts.

Production was limited to 99 units.

Available colors were Black Sapphire, Mineral White or Alpina Blue II. Optionally, a B6 GT3-inspired bright green wrap was available.

    Engine/Gearbox

The B3 GT3 engine is identical to the B3 S BiTurbo. A titanium rear silencer with double 115 mm tailpipes from Akrapovič increased power with 8hp. This also offers a weight reduction of 11kg on the standard B3 S BiTurbo exhaust.

    The B3 GT3 was only available with a ZF 6-speed 6HP19TÜ Switch-Tronic gearbox.

A limited slip differential from Drexler is installed.

    Suspension/Brakes/Wheels

An adjustable KW suspension was installed with camber plates.

Track-focussed brakes are installed with 6 pistons (front) and 4 pistons (rear). Brake disks measure 380×35 at the front and 355×32 at the rear.

The B3 GT3 was equipped with forged 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels in Alpina Classic design in Himalaya Grey color, unique to this model. The wheels are 25% lighter than the B3 S BiTurbo wheels. Available tires were Michelin Pilot Sport 2 for the road or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup+ for the track.

    Interior/Exterior

The B3 GT3 had a carbon-fibre front splitter mounted under the front spoiler, dive plates on the side of the front valence, rear diffuser and a carbon rear wing.

The interior had Recaro sports seats in leather and Alcantara upholstery unique to the B3 GT3. Optionally, interior trim in green lacquer was available.

As an option, a display with additional vehicle information is available. Typically for Alpina, this is installed in one of the ventilation openings in the dashboard.

    Performance

The B3 GT3 accelerates from 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is 300kph.
