BMW X5 HP

What is this car doing here?? Wasn´t Alpina supposed to have their own version of the BMW X5?? Well, they were but not anymore. We´ve heard rumours about an Alpina X5 a long time now and the same goes for a M-version of the X5 with the M5 engine. But that engine is already used by both the M5 and the Z8 so there wouldn´t be many engines over for the X5. So instead BMW has "borrowed" Alpina´s 4,6 litre V8 from the B10 V8. The X5 HP was presented at the Detroit Autoshow and will go on sale after the summer. In the USA the name will probably be X5 4,6iS. The engine produces 347bhp, exactly the same as the Mercedes ML55 AMG, and 480Nm of torque. It´s only available with a 5-speed automatic gearbox. Well, this combination makes the X5 really fast, 0-100 km/h in 6,5 seconds and a top speed of over 240km/h. The HP version of the X5 can be recognized by its huge 20in wheels with 275/40 tires at front and, hold on, 315/35 at rear.
