The B7 Bi-Turbo is based on the F01 7-series. During the pre-production period there has been quite a lot of rumors if the engine will be based on the previous B7’s supercharged engine or the new BMW 4.4 liter Twin Turbo engine. It is now confirmed that the F01 B7 will have a Bi-Turbo engine with 507 bhp and torque of 700 NM.

This means the B7 Bi-Turbo will no longer use the H1 supercharged engine from the E65 B7, E60 B5 and E63 B6.
