On paper the B3 BiTurbo is much underpowered to the M3 and C63. However on a wet Hockenheim track, the B3 BiTurbo isn't much slower than the M3 and faster than the C63. From 0-100 kph on a dry track, the M3 is again fastest, followed closely by the C63 and B3 BiTurbo. The engine sounds from both the M3 and C63 are extremely enjoyable. The M3 is very capable on twisty B-roads, followed at a distance by the B3 BiTurbo. The C63 is very hardsprung but not very dynamic which is likely due to its weight. In terms of fuel efficiency the B3 BiTurbo is much better than the M3 and C63. Overall, the author names the B3 BiTurbo as winner for daily driving due to its blend of efficiency, comfort and value for money. The M3 comes second with the remark that it would be the winner if the focus was on sporting characteristics only. The C63 is viewed mostly as an optical and acoustic showcar. |
