The article describes a testdrive bringing the first RHD B7 from the factory to the UK launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. From the beginning it is made clear that the only competitor for this car is the S55 AMG. Described are amongst others the technical details of the centrifugal compressor, as well as some of the development and testing procedures at Alpina. Additionally, the author really enjoys driving at topspeed on the Autobahn and humiliating a 760i. Furthermore, the suspension setup of the B7 makes it feel much smaller and more agile than would be expected from its 2 ton weight. |
